- Over 20 live performances each month, featuring world class classical musicians; special “Friday Night Live” performances including singers and dancers; and daytime interactive performers including Karaoke and For Love of Opera with Dante.
- Enjoy intellectual and stimulating lecturers, speakers, book reviewers and educational UCLA sponsored lectures. Many of our residents are members of the Plato Society and hold their monthly meetings at Westwood Horizons.
- Bus trips: Reagan Library, Gardens of the World, the Flower Museum, the Getty Museum, LACMA and the Nethercutt Collection, just to name a few. And for outdoor types we plan summer harbor cruises, walks at Santa Monica beach, and our walking club, which goes to all the major parks in the city. Our residents visit China Town, Olvera Street, or famous downtown restaurants. There are no limits to our imagination.
- Shuttle to doctor appointments and personal errands, 3 days a week.
- Our residents play Bridge, Poker and other card games on their own. And everyone enjoys Bingo, Poker Keno and our Horse Racing Game – and don’t forget about Blackjack!
- Discussion groups, Art Classes, Creative Writing, Birthday Parties, Monthly theme parties with a band and dancing. You name it, we have it.
- Exercise Program that features 5 different exercise instructors, 7 days a week, including chair exercises, Tai Chi, Yoga and our Westwood Horizons Walking Club where we “Walk for Life.”
- Weekly Candlelight Dinners, and during the summer our weekly Summer BBQs on the patio.
- If you’re a movie fan, we show different movies 4 days a week on our big screen TV in the Clubhouse.
- Meeting rooms, Library, Clubhouse, and Games and Crafts rooms.
- Last, but certainly not least, we celebrate all Jewish Holidays including Passover, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Friday night Shabbat & Kiddush services are conducted by our residents, and Saturday Shabbat Services are conducted by Rabbi Steve Finley.
