Westwood Horizons Society

May 15, 2005 was an exciting day for Westwood Horizons.  We had our inaugural meeting of the "Westwood Horizons Society", with enthusiastic participation by many of our residents. Westwood Horizons  Society is an advanced learning and research society where our residents can gather to discuss and ponder advanced topics and discoveries in physical, medical, psychobiological, biochemical, informational and social sciences.  It is a place where deep space, the depth of the oceans, the infinity of multiverse, the mysteries of mind and body, the uncharted territory of information technology and engineering and the rainbow of cultures, art and societies will be analyzed and appreciated. The only requirement for membership is to be a resident of Westwood Horizons. The main goal of the Society is to meet the intellectual needs of our residents.
Organizationally, the Society is comprised of a president, board of directors and various committees such as history, medical, space science, diet and lifestyle, communication and computer science and technology. Each committee elects a chairperson who becomes a board member. Board members then elect the President.
Alex Kashef will be the coordinator of all activities in the Society in addition to acting as a liaison between Westwood Horizons and the Society.
